Final Fantasy XV is already up for pre-orders, but we could all use regular reminders that it’s totally the real deal this time around (at least, it’s bound to come out someday). Here’s the latest trailer that gives us a quick glimpse of the game’s upcoming demo:
According to Square Enix, the said demo will be part of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’s first-print editions. The title was a one-time PSP spinoff that is now being updated for next-gen consoles, HD-style.
Supposing the breakneck scenes shown in this (very) short teaser trailer are actually indicative of the demo content, it seems like gamers will get a chance to chat with the first ever female Cid in the series. In a recent interview with Polygon, however, director Hajime Tabata said that the demo would not contain any car segments.
“We didn’t want people to mistake it and think ‘When did Final Fantasy become a driving game?’” he told Polygon.
At least that’s one thing we’re certain of.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.
